Plain answers

Do I need a piano?: No. Start with your PC keyboard (Z–M and Q–U). Plug in any USB MIDI keyboard when you want the real keys.
Is the PDF conversion perfect?: No. Recognition can misread notes, tempo and repeats. You see a rendering to compare, and you can adjust tempo and repeat brackets.
Can I upload commercial sheet music?: Only for your own practice with scores you have the right to use. Nothing is shared, and you can delete it anytime.
Which browser?: Chrome or Edge on a PC. Web MIDI is not available in Safari.
